Indio Technologies Inc.
Nearly every business is required to get insurance. Today that process involves filling out 100s of questions on tons of PDFs. These PDFs are then emailed to an agent who then uses them to fill out more PDFs which are then sent to multiple carriers.
We've built TurboTax for the $350B commercial insurance industry. We've created a proprietary data model for all company data and then built insurance workflow software on top of it.
We have no real competitors and are disrupting incumbents who make billions a year off 30 year old commercial insurance software.

Why join us?
We doubled revenue from October 2018 to February 2019 then doubled again in June 2019. We're blown away by the growth and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Both our founders have previously successfully built and sold fin-tech startups
Investors have seen how well we run our business operationally and have asked us to coach other companies in their portfolio as a result. We are laser focused on our metrics and everyone at the company knows the numbers we need to hit to IPO in 5 years.
Engineering at Indio Technologies Inc.
We work off of two week sprints with a weekly release cycle to production. Regression tests are automated as well as all code deployment. Automation and internal tooling are big deals for us!
We're moving to a squad based model composed of a product-minded designer, a project manager, and 4-6 engineers. Engineers are able to cycle in and out of different squads every two quarters as they see fit.
Insurance companies have more data on businesses than any other organization. They have the company payrolls, the financials, list of all employees, list of all assets owned by the company, list of all locations and revenue etc. Today all of this data is stored in PDFs and spreadsheets as no one has ever designed data structures to hold it all in one place.
Because of this, we needed to create a new database layer to handle the 1000s of different data objects representing vehicles, people, computers...basically anything that can be insured. We did this in a way that allows our ops team to manage it in a visual interface without requiring development effort.
As a result, we moved away from using real tables and created a massive virtualized table system on top of RDS that allows anyone on our ops team to create new data objects and relationships between them in a very performant manner.
We've had to integrate with 30 year old databases to pull out insurance data as no one has innovated in this space in decades. We used Go to build executables that live on client machines and securely extract data out of their system. We can hot-reload new mapping logic remotely into the client machines when we find ways to improve or migrate our data model.
Building out a spreadsheet-like interface in React that allows Delta to manage the insurance for their 3000 planes online.
Creating a franchise management dashboard that's used by major fast food chain's insurance agents so they can easily see which franchises still need to fill out their insurance application for the year.
