At Fabric, we're taking a fresh approach to issue tracking. We believe everyone in a company should be submitting issues. And it should be easy to track issues alongside team conversations.
Our first goal is to make issue tracking easier, and our ultimate goal is to make it invisible- so you never have to say the word
Why join us?
We're building a unique solution to a problem in a massive market.
You'll get to work on tools for your peers, other developers!
Our investors include Village Global, Banana Capital, and former execs from Slack and GitHub.
Engineering at Instantish, Inc.
We work on weekly sprint schedules (auto-generated by https://github.com/instantish/memorable-milestones), write design docs, and our main engineering health metrics at this stage are PR size and time to merge. We promote a very inclusive culture and encourage collaboration. We use our own product, Fabric, heavily to record, organize, and collaborate on issues without disrupting our flow state. And we also use Fabric to run our incident management and record engineering architecture/process decisions (i.e. ADRs).
We have a lot of cool challenges to work on. Our main product is our Slack integration, so building a full-featured app within the constraints of Slack's API requires you to be very creative. We also have interesting challenges related to integrating with multiple platforms like two-way syncing and setting up infrastructure to handle different types of events. And on the product side, you'll get to help other developers set up an issue tracking system that gets out of their way and lets them get into their flow state.
Explore a new integration surface for issue tracking.
Expand the infrastructure for our two-way syncing.
Work on the onboarding process, and make it feel seamless and almost effortless.
Working at Instantish, Inc.
We believe teams that really trust each other create the best products. Each person's job is not just to do their work, but do it in a way that builds trust with their teammates (and our customers). Ways that we do this is by communicating openly and frequently, aiming to do what we say we're going to do, and taking the extra step to help other out. Operationally, we believe in lowering barriers- working with tools that give us flexibility in how we communicate, adding process only when necessary, removing process that doesn't work for us.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive workplace, we are happy to offer prospective engineers the chance to connect with our engineering employees who come from underrepresented backgrounds. It’s a way to get a better sense of our team and what it might be like to work with us.
If you’re interested in connecting with our team, be sure to bring this up during one of our introductory calls!
