By first analyzing the company’s online communication, Jam establishes a baseline for the health of a company’s collaboration & knowledge-sharing. Then, through a tool that recommends & schedules face-to-face conversations between employees, Jam is designed to increase communication across teams and offices. Combining these two, Jam produces a Jam Index—a FICO score for the health of a company’s internal communications.
Jam is a post-revenue start-up growing 20% MoM looking to hire the founding engineer that can help bring Jam to market. This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who to be on the founding team of a startup without taking on much of the risk that comes with founding a company.
We'll be the first solution to ever quantify the strength of company's internal communications. You'll be the one who builds that solution.
We run a true agile process. Given our shipping cadence is currently very high as we iterate towards finding product-market fit, we plan on weekly sprints. Our engineers have complete autonomy over their scope of responsibilities and we aim to ship weekly.
Refining a matching algorithm, visualizing thousands of digital communication channels, building a new index to quantify the strength of a company's digital networks.
You would work on our core product which is a recommendation engine for connecting coworkers within a company. This would entail working with our matching algorithm to continually improve the recommendations we are making.
You would be building the Jam Graph—a network illustration of all the lines of communication that exist within an organization. Using basic network analysis metrics, the tool you build would be able to quantify the strength of existing communications. This would then inform the recommendation engine for who Jam should be connecting within the company.
