Why join us?
We are a company that crosses boundaries from a technology perspective. This uniquely positions us in the Contact canter environment in addition to a wide range of digital channels.
Our founders have founded and built several startups in the past at least one of which has achieved Unicorn status.
The uniqueness of our technology has already earned us 2 patents with about 20 more pending.
We are a company built on a can do culture where people wear many hats and progress quickly from a career development perspective
Engineering at Journey
Our engineering structure is relatively flat. We have separate teams for back end development, client and DevOps. We are poised to grow significantly through the next 12 months as an engineering team and expect to add some (but minimal) hierarchy as we grow. Our development process follows the SAFe agile framework. We execute on 2 week cycles with disciplined execution of Agile rituals.
Our entire raison d'etre is identity as the root of trust built around architected privacy and security. There are many interesting challenges around managing cryptographic integrity and creating a transactional and ephemeral framework that minimizes attack surfaces. In addition we work with several biometric tools and also government and private identity verification tools to develop the highest possible identity veracity while maintaining a strong security and privacy paradigm. The third leg of our technical challenges deal with integration into complex and varying existing technologies like contact centers, messaging and multimedia communications applications.
Develop operational elements and integration with virtual desktop environments.
Develop dashboards and operational tools for our network based platform. Thsi includes developing business intelligence and automated risk assessment
Continued development and scale for our zero trust/zero knowledge identity network including DLI technology, and application specific rules engines for our varied customer scenarios.
Working at Journey
We are a can-do culture. There is no problem that cannot be solved and no new bridge that cannot be crossed with the right research and understanding of the problem. We value both experience as weil as skills without specific experience. We believe new breakthrough ideas are as often a result of applying seemingly unrelated skills as they are a result of having done it before...we are lokking for people that want more than just a job.
We recognize that diversity is a huge issue in tech. We broaden our reach by looking beyond specific experience toward more general capability. We also participate in several diversity based recruiting events.
As a small company, inclusive is almost inevitable. New employees are exposed to most everyone in teh company a t this point. We have regular weekly all hands meeting ab=nd we expose everyone across all functional teams, marketing, sales, ops, etc.
As the CTO of a small company, our CTO takes a direct interest in every individual within engineering and works to identify areas where support or training might be necessary. Journey directly supports this training as it is identified.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive workplace, we are happy to offer prospective engineers the chance to connect with our engineering employees who come from underrepresented backgrounds. It’s a way to get a better sense of our team and what it might be like to work with us.
If you’re interested in connecting with our team, be sure to bring this up during one of our introductory calls!
