—Data Quality— The various sources of data we work with are provided in a less than ideal state, this could be because the data is unstructured (earnings calls) or involves historically poor data capture We need to be able to build out best in class data ETL processes to ensure the quality and reliability of the data that powers the machine learning platform
—ML Infrastructure— Using one of our projects as an example, we're working with tens of GBs worth of data, but as our products and platforms move beyond the POC stage, we need to be able to build an infrastructure that's capable of rapidly ingesting and handling terabytes of data
—Alternative Data Seats— Utilize machine learning techniques like NLP to create unique and proprietary datasets, giving us an added advantage in how we drive decision making with our products
