Role Description

Kloudio is a well-funded startup, backed by Unusual Ventures(Jyoti Bansal of AppDynamics), Firebolt Ventures(Gokul Rajaram, Facebook Ads).

Kloudio's mission is to automate Enterprise Finance Processes through RPA.

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer for our Product Development team. This team is responsible for building new functionality in the Kloudio application and continuing to improve the product's user experience, user acquisition, and engagement rates, as well as increase customer satisfaction with their experience. The Lead Engineer will lead product development activities, prioritize work, and work alongside the team to build functionality with quality and velocity.

This is a hands-on role and will be the first engineering hire. This role can potentially turn into the VP of Engineering in the future.

In this role, you will be counted on to: * Add new features to the product using modular coding in NodeJS and Python. * Work in the Core Automation Platform. * Build new UI Prototypes in ReactJS / Angular. * Manage development process for new functionality, and ensure that the functionality is built and tested end to end and delivered in time. * Oversee feature breakdown and development planning and estimation * Work with CTO to draft the architecture of new functionality. * Manage a team of 3 -4 remote engineers and 3 -4 onsite engineers. * Be a strong leader in good development practices, including automated tests, DRY, security, data integrity, and traceability * Conduct code reviews and architecture meetings * Proactively provide visibility to other teams on development progress * Work across other functional teams.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to show: - Excellent development skills - you're a respected engineer and your skills are current and relevant (NodeJS, React/Angular, Python, Linux, Testing, CI/CD) - Demonstrable experience in a leadership position managing and mentoring developers (years of experience aren't necessarily important, but they can be helpful) - Experience in different development processes and the ability to choose an effective process for a given situation
- Excellent communication skills - Great organizational and management skills

Bonus points: - Computer Science Degree from a reputed institution. - Experience with Docker, AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies - Startup experience ++
