Our Deep Learning workstations, servers, and cloud services power ML engineers at the forefront of AI research, fueling advancements in quantum computing, cancer detection, autonomous aircraft, drug discovery, self driving cars, and much more.
Lambda provides Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning infrastructure to organizations like Apple, Intel, Microsoft, Amazon Research, Tencent, Kaiser Permanente, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Caltech and the Department of Defense.
We have been profitable for a few years now, and steadily growing.
We have tripled our revenue year after year for the past 3 years and are experiencing 100% growth this year on our team.
We are funded by Gradient Ventures, an AI venture focused fund (gradient.com).
Our founding team's technical background aligns with the backgrounds of our customer base - AI and ML researchers and engineers, giving us credibility with our customers in the AI infrastructure space.
Lambda has been profitable for a few years providing GPU servers and workstations for training of neural networks. Our customers are ML researchers and engineers who already have trust in our products, and have now created a demand for Lambda to provide cloud infrastructure as well. Thus, our software engineering team is still very early and small, consisting of our founder and 2 engineers. Anyone we hire at this stage will have a direct impact in guiding our software development product and process evolution. Some aspects of our engineering environment are: * Highly autonomous * Small team which values the sophistication of simplicity * Everyone has ownership of their code through production * High expectations for quality code * Deploy to production multiple times a day * Very light code review currently, but moving more toward code review model as we scale
We’re building GPU cloud infrastructure for targeted ML communities, with extremely high networking bandwidth (north of 800GB per second). Imagine building the ML infrastructure for an eventual Facebook Learner (FB's ML Infra) or similar ML platform at scale in its early days. Each of our software engineers will build reliable, scalable, highly available systems, and be responsible for the entire stack in developing ML Infrastructure Management software used directly by our customers - the industry's foremost ML and Deep Learning professionals.
Building our scalable networking and storage systems for our cloud infrastructure from scratch
Building out our production execution system (inventory management, supply chain, etc) from scratch
Lambda is a small team of 26 looking to double or triple this year following the growth of sales. We're somewhat of a meritocracy, where everyone just wants to get the right things done. We communicate openly across the org. We’re able to walk up to anyone at anytime to ask a question, solicit an opinion or ask for feedback. Candid feedback is encouraged in every direction. Our leadership team has a respectful and empathetic style, and are eager, lifelong learners.
We are transitioning to a remote workforce at this time. Since COVID-19, our Lambda team has had a lot of success working remotely, leading us to transition to a remote organization entirely.
We offer a 401k contribution plan. We do not match at this time.
