Flat structure for now, but growing into a limited hierarchy with mentorship available for junior and mid-level engineers. Unit, regression and integration testing, smoke testing, chaos testing, automated builds and deploys to a test environment at parity with production.

Technical Challenges

Vertical scaling - in an era where most web applications scale horizontally. All of our orders have to be routed through a single central risk system before any can hit their respective order books. This can be made concurrent, but not parallel.

Projects you might work on

Build a catch-up protocol for the trading interface: if a single message is missed out of the millions flying by, incorrect prices could display. Detect this automatically and request initial state again when it happens. Log the event for analysis.
