Role Description

We are seeking a senior Android developer who will help bring the “Lit by Leia” user experience to new screens and devices around the world. You will be part of a team working closely with product and technology stakeholders to define problems and create beautiful and intuitive user applications that help users get the most out of new products and features. You should be capable of understanding both user and developer pain points and translating those into elegant solutions that excite users.

As Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining Android applications and SDKs. This will include a) Improving and optimizing existing mobile applications, b) Helping to design and prototype new experiences, and c) working with and supporting partners in the Leia Loft community.

Requirements - 5+ years experience as a developer for Android mobile applications - Expertise in Java - Experience with the Android Native Development Kit, using C or C++ - Experience with (mobile?) graphics or computer vision - Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment - Self-starter with ability to work independently - Passion for doing what’s right for the customer - BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Bonus - Experience with real time graphics using OpenGL ES - Experience with computer vision techniques - Experience with UX or UI design - Experience with machine learning - Experience with VR/AR (Oculus, Unity, Unreal, ARCore, ARKit) - Experience with low-level optimizations on embedded or mobile platforms
