Role Description

What You’ll Do

Leia Inc is looking for a full time backend Senior Software Engineer on the Leia platform team who will help Architect, implement and maintain microservices for the Leia Appstore and other applications across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Architect and implement Streaming services. Implement a content ingestion pipeline. Implement a DRM solution. Architecture of distributed, fault-tolerant systems. Implementation and maintenance of REST and GraphQL microservices Implementation and maintenance tf payment processing systems Implementation and maintenance of authentication systems Implementation of AWS cloud resources. Implementation and maintenance of npm packages for cross-cutting concerns. Collaborating with teams across the organization. Mentorship of junior engineers.

This role is located in Los Angeles, CA

What You’ll Have 5+ years experience as a back-end developer. Expertise in building Over-the-top(OTT) streaming services Expertise in development with JavaScript/Node.js. Expertise in developing REST/GraphQL web services. Experience developing backend systems for mobile applications. Experience with containerization. Experience with database management. Experience with authentication systems such as SAML, OAuth, etc… Experience with CI/CD Experience with automated testing. Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment. Self-starter with ability to work independently. Passion for doing what’s right for the customer. BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have Experience with AWS Experience with real time protocols such as WebRTC and websockets. Experience working in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, C#, .Net, Java or Python Experience with Document databases Experience with Kubernetes Experience with Stripe or other payment processing platforms. Experience in front-end web technologies such as: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Angular, React, Vue Boredom is the enemy!
