Role Description
What You’ll Do
The Process Engineer will be working full time in the cleanroom to conduct micro and nanofabrication on novel projects and ideas related to Leia’s core backlight displays. The engineer will work under the direction of Leia’s Nano Center Nano-optics’ team leader and senior scientists to:
Perform basic layout designs for nano- and micro-fabrication of Leia’s devices. Perform R&D tests and experiments Collect and analyze experimental data Address technical challenges experienced by our R&D facility and production facility Participate and support senior engineers on relevant research and development projects in nano-/micro-fabrication and process engineering. Specifically, The engineer is expected to be familiar with layout design tools including K-Layout, L-Edit, use and run advance nano-/micro-fabrication tools for R&D purposes: Run Track, Run Stepper, Run Spin-coater, Run Mask Aligner, Run Etcher for process engineer developments The engineer needs to be able to support all process engineering requirements to Leia’s mass production Imprints The engineer should be able to perform basic optical metrology including SEM, AFM and profilometer
This role is based in Palo Alto, CA
What You’ll Have Hands-on experience with layout design, optical process flow Able to manage and balance a multi-disciplinary project with composure and low ego Proven record of being consistent, meticulous and detailed in completing assigned tasks Self-motivation and commitment to fulfilling projects and deliverables in a timely fashion Comfortable in supporting a fast-pace R&D environment Strong team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to follow lab instructions safely and precisely 2+ years of industrial experience. Nice to Have Experience with display-related advanced fabrication Experience with advanced optical measurements Boredom is the enemy!
