Role Description
Software Architect Leia Inc. Menlo Park, California
Leia Inc. is in search of an experienced Software Architect to lead the SW Architecture definition across the SW organization. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation and guide the development team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in Android, cloud computing, graphics, and backend SW Experience and the ability to develop a unified vision to meet the development and implementation of an efficient and scalable architecture.
What You’ll Do
Establishes and implements the strategic direction of the company’s SW engineering and development initiatives. Drive and lead SW Architecture solutions across Leia product and system solutions, and ensure implementation meets defined architectures. Collaborate across all software teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of the desired product. Develop high-level architecture and product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow. Communicate all concepts and guidelines successfully to the development team Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with the initial design Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Have
5+ years of relevant experience as a software architect Experience in software development and coding in various languages Experience in Android development Experience and contributor to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of software quality assurance principles A technical mindset with great attention to detail High quality organizational and leadership skills Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent (MS preferred)
