Lendeavor is the first and only technology-enabled lender to healthcare practices. We disrupted banks by bringing together a team of software engineers, computer scientists, financiers, lawyers, credit risk experts, and academics to build a digital financing experience that’s 10 times better than the status quo. Since making our first loan in mid-2016, we’ve rapidly become a leading lender in our space.
We’re on a mission to become the first and only digital healthcare bank. Our first step was to make streamlined business financing (for example, a $750,000 loan for a dentist to buy her first practice) available to busy healthcare practitioners at their convenience — instead of during the typical 9-to-5 banker’s hours. Our communities depend on doctors and their valuable time, so the hours we save them from archaic bank application and closing processes have an enormous impact. On the back end, our software makes our team more efficient at processing -- without the overhead of a brick-and-mortar presence -- saving doctors even more time and money.
We are a purpose-driven organization: Lendeavor is focused on reducing the financial burdens of healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care for millions of patients.
We are experiencing hyper-growth: After originating $100M in 2018, Lendeavor is on track to originate over $250M in practice loans in 2019 and over $500M in 2020. And we're just getting started.
We are backed by a leading fintech investor: QED Investors
We have multiple engineering teams organized around product areas that typically operate in 2-week sprints. We deploy multiple times a day - each engineer owns their feature from inception through deployment via our CI/CD pipeline. Architecture responsibilities are distributed: every engineer has the opportunity to act as Tech Lead for an Epic. The assigned Tech Lead partners with the Product Manager to determine technical requirements and help with story breakdown. Engineers are expected to write elegant, maintainable code; write unit, integration, and functional tests; write clear documentation; perform peer code reviews; and support other members of the team.
We are working on utilizing machine learning to solve difficult text identification, recognition, and classification problems; we are continuously delivering to a distributed systems architecture that meets SOC-2 Type II information security standards; and we are building innovative user experiences with a focus of improving ease of use and making transacting with us faster and easier.
