We're building the first truly accessible real estate investment platform, where anyone can buy shares of buildings priced around $100/share.

We assist real estate owners in conducting registered offerings of their $10M+ buildings to the public, and fill those offerings via our online investment platform. We're building a trading system (called an ATS legally) for those real estate shares to be traded on. Unlike some existing real estate crowdfunding platforms, anyone can invest in our shares and there are no transfer/liquidity restrictions.
Our product hits the market later this year, and will be revenue producing on day 1
We have a team of real estate experts, compliance lawyers, and engineers to deliver on our promises effectively
We've raised $4M from a top VC and top real estate firms, who will be announced soon
Our engineering team is small and has a flat structure, so you'll fully own most components you're working on. We generally set milestones on two week cycles and have a quick (5 min) checkin/standup each day. Design is currently outsourced to a contractor, which may be relevant to your workflow for mobile and full stack devs. We use Pull Requests on GitHub to conduct code reviews, and don't have a fixed/rigid deploy cycle currently.
We're building a trading system that will operate at scale. We'll scale cautiously at first and have knobs to limit volume, but expect to handle hundreds-to-thousands of messages per second within a year of its launch.
Developing our online investment platform which is a responsive web app built on the MERN stack
Building or integrating fraud monitoring tools into our trading system
Legal document and tax-form automation
We're highly collaborative since the real estate, compliance and engineering paths are all very intertwined. Scrappiness is important. You may need to learn a new framework or search for existing open source alternatives rather than building a company need from scratch.
As an engineer, we'll generally hope that you overlap with the rest of the team by being in the office from 10AM until 5PM. But we don't have rules around this, and whether you start before then or stay later is up to you. If you need a work-from-home day, feel free to take one! We care about output, not hours.
We're located in a beautiful building near Bryant Park in Manhattan.
Monthly fitness stipend!
