Engineering at Loomly
Loomly operates with a flat engineering team, structured as an Engineering Lead coordinating individual contributors. For maximum agility, we work in quarterly cycles, balancing long-term projects with short-term priorities. All projects are organized in GitHub Project boards.
The main technical challenge we are dealing with has to do with scaling infrastructure, code and processes to absorb the triple-digit growth we are experiencing. In addition to consistent refactoring of our code base, we are currently consolidating our DevOps practices.
Loomly is looking for someone to take ownership of and lead our DevOps/SRE efforts. This role will have a significant impact on the way we work as a team as well as Loomly's current and future growth.
As the Lead DevOps Engineer you'll work on a variety of projects across the stack — planning, architecting and building. You'll help to define engineering priorities and have a significant role in analyzing and setting the technologies we use at Loomly.
Loomly is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer. Loomly currently has two Senior Full-Stack Engineers (in addition to our DevOps team), making you the third member, and as such, a critical part of the team. You’ll have significant influence on the decisions we make as a team and ownership over integral projects from start to finish.
As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Loomly, you'll work on a variety of projects across the stack — planning, diagnosing, solving and building. You’ll be shipping features to users and observing their direct impact on the business.
Working at Loomly
We are a small, fully remote company. We value our efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging autonomy, paying close attention to details and avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy. Our domain requires us to be flexible and adaptable. We take ownership of our work and truly appreciate valuable feedback.
We're driven and self-motivated to succeed. We value rest and time-off — we're not into 50-hour workweek grinds. We're in it for the long-haul and we're building the sustainable company that we all want to work for.
At Loomly, we have strict policy and culture against any forms of discrimination and injustice, and we strive to hire, partner with & serve all people, regardless of the color of their skin, their gender, sexual orientation and religion.
Loomly creates a custom onboarding journey for each new team member, specifically designed around their position, responsibilities and goals.
Outside of the pandemic, the entire team meets every quarter to enjoy some good time together and bond over topics and activities beyond work.
The Loomly team operates across the US and European time zones, with engineers located in California, Colorado and Texas. We measure success based on output, not when work is performed.
Loomly offers a company group plan, including a Gold PPO plan, and pays for 99% of the premium.
We offer a matching 401(k) plan up to 4% of compensation.
Work from Home
Loomly is a 100% distributed team and we have all been working from home since Day 1 (back in 2016).
