Engineering at Lorem

Engineering team and processes

Weekly sprints with very little overhead. A meeting Monday morning and a demo on Friday afternoon. All teams at Lorem (not just engineering) are run this way.

We use Clubhouse as our product management software. CircleCI for continuous deployment from GitHub branches.

Engineers work closely with our product manager & design team to prioritize and design which features to build.

Technical Challenges

24-7 on-demand matching of customer needs to expert skills sets. Essentially how to properly model skill sets + availability and play with supply-demand incentives to automatically match customer to expert in under 10 minutes.
Pricing engine for web development tasks to establish set prices upfront.
Embedded marketplace, with entire Lorem experience delivered in one line of JavaScript.
