Software Developer - Tooling and Infrastructure
- Silicon Valley, CA, United States
Luminostics is a San Jose-based Y Combinator and Khosla Ventures-backed startup building a smartphone-based platform for rapid infectious disease testing using nanotechnology that interfaces with a phone's optics. We are currently putting various projects on hold to rapidly develop, launch, and scale products for rapid COVID-19 testing.
We are in need of an experienced software developer who can take ownership of internal software systems and develop cloud-based services to support day-to-day operations at Luminostics. Our growing team of researchers is reliant on these systems to facilitate the development, internal validation, QC, and low-volume production of our test kits. As we rapidly scale up, we will also require external-facing services to gather data from clinical research sites and eventually end users.
Responsibilities may include: * Developing services to synchronize on-premise and cloud based data stores * Developing and maintaining secure endpoints to gather data from clinical research sites * Migrating a Jupyter-based data science environment to a scalable cloud deployment * Designing and implementing a single-sign-on solution for internal infrastructure * Implementing continuous integration for image analysis code * Working with end users to improve software in support of day-to-day research and operations
Desired Skills * Industry experience developing, shipping, and supporting code (3+ years) * Python, SQL language skills * Backend web development experience * Secure web services with TLS, token-based authentication * Cloud computing experience * At least one of AWS, GCP preferred * Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux administration * Familiarity with Python data science ecosystem * NumPy, matplotlib, Pandas, Jupyter * Database architecture and administration with PostgreSQL
We have developed a hardware/software platform for at-home disease testing and health monitoring.
