Mantium is on a mission to provide safety and security for the AI era. Elon Musk and Sam Altman have both stated that AI poses a great risk to humanity, yet very few companies are focused on providing security for this next technological leap. The founders of Mantium think this is crazy, and set out to build a platform that enables developers to safely and securely build AI systems. The team are experts in the field of Machine Learning and cybersecurity and have multiple successful exits under their belts.
Why join us?
Founders have a track record of success and deep domain knowledge of machine learning, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
This is a very difficult and hard problem to solve, yet it's something we're absolutely convinced the world needs.
Massive market, and a massive opportunity.
Engineering at Mantiom
We operate one bi-weekly sprints. We hire for
the rare responsible person and are currently looking for those driven by their own ambitions. Epics are hosted on JIRA, and the engineers break down the tasks from the Epic and user stories. At the end of the week, engineers show of the progress they've made. We use PR's on GitLab.
We're just getting started, and while this isn't our first rodeo we're always open to new ideas and new ways of doing things.
We're building something entirely new, and we're re-thinking how software is made. The primary user of our platform is the multiple AI systems we've created. Humans become secondary users.
Having AI's talk to one another is an interesting problem and has a lot of unique challenges associated with it.
You would create scalable microservices that interact with the various AI systems.
You would be helping to build an
AIfirewall/router - something that we think is new.
Working at Mantiom
We believe in the power of AI to help reduce human workloads. With this in mind, we strive to maintain a high work-life balance. Working 40 hours a week is ideal, but there may be rare exceptions when you need to work above and beyond this. This should never become 'standard'
Transparency always - we want people here to make the best decisions possible, and we believe the only way this can happen is if all the information is available to everyone. The only things we keep confidential are salary and equity awarded.
Mastery - people are encouraged to become masters of their craft. We've set aside budget and time for our employees to take training courses, attend conferences, or just hack away on something new.
Passion - it's critical that you are passionate about solving the cybersecurity crisis we face today. We believe that AI will play a huge role in helping solve some of the biggest challenges such as the massive staffing shortage, reducing false positives/false negatives, and so much more.
Mantium hires from all over the world - this brings many difficult cultures together and we believe we greatly benefit from this.
Transparency lends itself to having a truly welcoming company - everyone knows everything. Pay is transparent, as are equity positions.
As part of our commitment to an inclusive workplace, we are happy to offer prospective engineers the chance to connect with our engineering employees who come from underrepresented backgrounds. It’s a way to get a better sense of our team and what it might be like to work with us.
If you’re interested in connecting with our team, be sure to bring this up during one of our introductory calls!
