What we are looking for:

An Engineering leader to drive critical architecture decisions and implementations for the MasterClass Platform Scrappy, entrepreneurial spirit who can distill ambiguity into actionable plans, and work independently without supervision Strong thought-partner to help build and grow a world-class Engineering organization Curious mind who has a passion for discovering our customer needs and creating value through product innovation

What you will do:

Play a pivotal role in developing our core system frameworks and components that enable our Engineering teams Leading and mentoring junior engineers Building highly available, fault tolerant systems Participate in recruiting activities to build a world-class engineering team

About you:

12+ years of relevant software engineering experience, building mission-critical, scalable, highly-available systems B.S. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical work experience Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures and server side systems Proficiency in modern web technologies such as Ruby/Rails, Postgres, Redis, and Kafka Experience in developing low-latency, secure, distributed systems, hosted in cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Cloud Familiarity with modern compute paradigms including serverless implementations Creative thinker who enjoys fast-paced environments and is able to work through ambiguity Experience recruiting and retaining talent, partnering with Recruiting and Talent organizations
