Meld Universal Inc.
We're a platform melding FinTech services together in an easy to use API.
Why join us?
Funded by top-tier Silicon Valley investors with several years of runway.
Our team is ex-PayPal and Square, and has extensive experience at building and scaling FinTech companies.
We already have several customers iterating with us for the Alpha release of the product.
We're committed to creating a remote first company that supports the best talent wherever they are in North America.
Engineering at Meld Universal Inc.
Our engineering team operates on two week cycles. Each cycle begins with a grooming meeting to discuss time estimates for features. After code complete, we have a testing cycle to ensure our quality never lets our customers down. At sprint end team members demo the work they've completed. Engineers typically work with the Product Manager and Designer to spec a feature, then work individually or in pairs depending on the scope. We use Pull Requests on GitHub to conduct code reviews.
We're building an API platform where customers integrate once and can access an extensive set of services across all FinTech domains. Our platform requires hi-availability while processing hi-volume of calls with low latency.
You would get to work on integrations to top service providers in FinTech, initially in payments and account aggregation.
You would get to build out our initial Dashboard where our customers will manage their users, configure their settings, and review their transactions on our platform.
Working at Meld Universal Inc.
We value a gritty, resourceful attitude when it comes to work. We want people who are adaptable and flexible in getting our startup off the launch pad. We are commited to being Open, Honest and Direct in our communication and care of team members' growth. Team members are expected to be incredibly customer focused, passionate about their craft, while being eager to evolve.
We recruit with an eye for diversity by deliberately searching for candidates in underrepresented groups, even while being a very early stage startup. We know this takes time to be successful at so we're committed to doing it at the very start of our firm's journey.
We have an Open, Honest & Direct culture where everyone is able to engage directly with anyone in the firm, including the founders. The founders engage with team members in 1:1s to discuss not just projects and performance, but also culture and engagement. Our weekly Town Hall meetings is a forum for all team members to bring up topics and questions to the entire firm for discussions and debate. Every two weeks we have a virtual
happy hour with a moderator to lead an ice breaker session.
Being a very early stage startup, we do not have the same resources as larger established firms. We support underrepresented individuals by intentional listening, authentic discussion and commitment to providing opportunities to learn and take ownership.
Meld has an unlimited vacation policy.
Twice a year, we choose a cool place for our all-company retreat. It is a great way for all team members to understand our corporate strategy and bond with each other.
Being a remote first firm, our team members work across several different time zones. Though we have regular meetings (i.e. standups, grooming, demos, etc.) we provide team members flexibility on when they work to meet their deliverables. We care about meeting commitments not how much you work.
We provide medical, dental and vision coverage.
