Metaview is dedicated to enabling world-class organizations to identify, attract, and grow the right people with unerring reliability.
We’re a Talent Science startup. We capture and surface the data that is most telling of ‘organization-talent fit’. Often, this means using state of the art technology to access and expose sources of insight that have never been considered accessible before.
Why join us?
We're solving what we consider to be the most impactful problem in the world; enabling companies to hire more of the right people. If every person ends up doing the best work of their life at any given point, humanity's progress will exponentiate.
We have a strong founding team (ex-Palantir and ex-Uber) who has spent a lot of time building products and a lot of time hiring and creating teams. This on its own doesn't mean anything but we have a proven track record to rapidly verify/falsify hypotheses.
We're funded by the most credible European and Silicon Valley seed-stage investors. Backed by Seedcamp, Fly Ventures, and Village Global.
Engineering at Metaview
As one of the first Product Engineers at Metaview, you’ll lead the design, development, and operations of our products. We’re a small and autonomous team, so, you’ll end up wearing many hats and having meaningful impact. As a Product Engineer, you’ll comfortably go up and down the stack; from writing backend and frontend code, to running AWS infrastructure, to implementing whatever necessary tool or process we don’t yet have.
We're using technology to accomplish things that are barely possible. From reliably recording job interviews, to transcribing them, to managing the operational pipeline for the data cleansing and annotation. But above all of that, the most challenging, and most exciting, technical problem is choosing specific areas of focus in a sea of opportunity.
Mello: A bot that is able to join and record any type of video conference. This is core to our business because we want to be able to record interviews whilst causing the smallest amount of friction. Mello does just that. Besides having the optionality to spin Mello off as its own SAAS product, in the future we can also imagine a world where we can provide real-time assistance to remote interviewers.
Bicycle - Speaker Diarisation: Speaker diarisation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speaker_diarisation) feels like it should be a solved problem, but, it's not. Bicycle is our internal data cleansing and data enrichment tool. Amongst other things, it also allows us humans to efficiently correct diarisation labels.
Bicycle - Conversation Labelling: Our ability to answer questions such as
What kind of question did the interviewer just ask? Was it about problem solving?are immensely valuable, especially when aggregated. Bicycle is our internal data cleansing and data enrichment tool. Amongst other things, it allows us humans to efficiently label and enrich parts of conversations.
Working at Metaview
We value having fun and making an impact. Not just one of the two. We love focusing on outcomes and taking the shortest path to verifying/falsifying hypotheses. This might mean shipping now and fixing later.
Officially, everyone at Metaview receives 30 days of paid holiday per year. In addition to this, you can also take bank and public holidays as paid leave. In reality, we think people should take as much time off as they need to so we’re very flexible. We don’t explicitly talk about “unlimited” holiday because, in our experience, under the “unlimited” holiday policy, people tend to take less time off than they otherwise would have.
We don't currently have any pets around, but, we'd love to! 🐶
We would love the person joining us to also get excited about learning new things, writing blog posts and going to conferences to talk about all things product and engineering.
