Misfits Market is a values-driven startup focused on reinventing the grocery store experience. Our mission is to bring delicious, fresh, and affordable food to people everywhere while tackling inefficiencies in the food system. Since our founding in late 2018, we’ve rescued 10 million pounds of organic produce and made it accessible to millions of people in the Eastern U.S.
We're a mission-based startup focused on affordability, accessibility, and sustainability. We turn food system inefficiencies into affordable options for consumers.
Within our first year, we've grown to 64K active subscribers, entered 23 states, and rescued 10 million pounds of organic produce that would otherwise go to waste.
We are one of the fastest growing consumer companies of 2019 and we're hiring a rockstar team for 2020.
Our engineering team is small and mighty. Our team consists of our Head of Engineering plus 3 engineers (and growing!). We currently operate in one week sprints so that we can be flexible for the business while we're still in a heavy growth state. Each week we start with a sprint planning and we have an asynchronous standup every morning via Slack. As a small startup, engineers will work closely with Product, Design, IT, Analytics, and Operations. Each engineer is empowered to own a technical portion of our stack.
