Engineering at Mobalytics
Our team operates on two week sprints, and we currently have two teams working in parallel on different game products. We split responsibilities to Front End, Back End, and Data Infrastructure. We use the usual tools like GitHub and Trello to help keep people on the same page. To be honest, I think our processes could be greatly improved and I am looking for someone who wants to bring that level of rigor to our team, but has the mindset necessary to succeed in a startup that has to adap fast.
We want to be able to deliver data and insights to thousands (and in the future hundreds of thousands) of concurrent users FAST (this is so important for gamers) and RELIABLY. We have yet to acheive that at a satisfactory level. Currently the product is beautiful with great insights, but we need to have the power to act on that. We also need to be able to organize and analyze our data in a better way, from an RND perspective and not just a user perspective, to be able to improve our algorithms.
We built the Gamer Performance Index, which draws data from Riot Game's API and analyzes it, segments it into several layers, and presents it to the user in a digestable format. On top of that, different playstyles and insights are connected to the data and its analysis, and then presented to the user contextually.

This app combines all the features of our Web Platform with features unique to running on the players PC to be able to increase the context of information given to the player.
Working at Mobalytics
Games are more complicated than most people know, and helping people decipher the skill set required to be great is a fulfilling channel. If you are a gamer and nerd out when talking about the latest strats and meta, then this is the right place for you.
