Mutiny helps solve every company's most important challenge: growth. We provide a no-code platform to automate growth engineering, so marketers can create engaging, personalized experiences. Our product provides a privacy-first data layer with out-of-the box integrations, powerful machine learning features to understand your audience, and experience delivery tools to personalize across channels — all without any engineering from the customer.
Fast growing early adopters, like Brex, Segment, Amplitude and Carta, have doubled their leads using Mutiny. Check out this 3m demo to see how: (https://www.loom.com/share/5072f508685c4e51964e82598122bfb9).
Why join us?
Big opportunity. Companies spend 20% of their revenue to drive website traffic and engagement, but most don't have access to a growth engineering team to create compelling experiences to capture that interest. Mutiny democratizes access to the necessary infrastructure to build a high performing growth engine. With the the shift to online buying driven by SaaS, this is software every B2B company will need.
And the market agrees. We have best-in-class metrics for our industry (grew from $1M to $1.5M in ARR last quarter, >95% renewal rate) and our customers include some of the fastest growing companies, like Brex, Segment, Carta and Amplitude.
Seasoned founders addressing a problem they have experienced. Our founders are early Gusto employees that scaled the company from 500 to 50,000 customers. They built growth technology in-house to grow Gusto's user base, and ultimately built Mutiny to create a platform so all B2B companies can have access to world class growth software.
Great investors with relevant experience. We are funded ($4.1M seed round) by some of the best investors in the valley including Y Combinator, growth and engineering leaders from Slack, Google, Facebook, Square, Yelp and Salesforce, and Cowboy Ventures and Uncork Capital (backers of Postmates, Intercom, Sendgrid and Eventbrite).
Own products end-to-end, and drive projects from inception to success. We are a small team of 4 engineers, and each team member owns an area of the product. You will work with CX to understand customer needs, collaborate with product and design to determine how the product should function, and own the metrics for success.
Engineering at Mutiny
You will own large swaths of the product, create processes to enable rapid iteration, make architectural decisions that set the technical bar, and foster a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture. You will be a key stakeholder in defining the structure of the team and how we work.
We greatly value automated testing (we like TDD), code reviews, pair programming, and practical, effective architecture decisions. We are a polyglot team by nature and look to use the right tool for the job. We invest in keeping our developer velocity high, are measured in when we choose to take on tech debt, and empower all team members to ship code several times each day. We keep process overhead a minimum while still ensuring team alignment, in order to focus on delivering value directly to our customers by engineering great products.

Our stack consists of React, TypeScript, Ruby, and Rails. as well as Redis, Postgres, and Elasticsearch for data storage. Our CTO comes from a product and infrastructure background, bringing an engineering first approach to growth technology.
Some of our challenges include:
1) Building a privacy-first data store that never shares PII or customer data. We leverage data store policies to ensure there are walled gardens between customers and privacy is respected.
2) Architecting low latency data infrastructure that processes millions of events from various data sources to create a unified data layer. We keep latency to a ridiculously low number using a combination of CDN edge caching with Fastly, efficient event processing pipelines, and data store optimizations.
3) Building products that expose machine learning infrastructure for automated segmentation, with an incredibly simple to use interface.
4) Building efficient content delivery libraries for use in the browser, enabling non-technical team members to easily personalize their website. We make use of native browser APIs for efficient DOM rendering using features like MutationObservers, WebWorkers, and hooks for browser layouts.
Own our data enrichment architecture, processing millions of events from various data sources to create a single profile of a customer. Leverage new data sources as they become available to expand the coverage and actionability of this profile. Keep latency to a ridiculously low number and expose these profiles over HTTP for use in the browser, as users access this data in real-time.
Own our machine learning infrastructure for identifying and surfacing audience segments ripe for personalization. Use data points from user activity, firmographic data, and HTTP request attributes to cluster users and present them as a group with a defining characteristic that lends itself to personalized content.
Design and build out the best in-browser web editor for customizing websites. Build an easy-to-use, rich user experience for leveraging data to serve users the content most relevant to them, all without any engineering experience on behalf of the customer.
