Our engineering team is currently split between Front End and Back End doing all of the core engineering. Everyone helps out with both product and infrastructure tasks. We work closely with the machine learning team to make sure the whole system works well together.
We work in 2 week sprints with retrospective and planning meetings between each sprint. We have code reviews and each new feature or major change goes through a requirements doc as well as design doc.
Each of our customers have different requirements which requires us to integrate with different systems in different ways. We need to generalize our features and integrations as much as possible to work with the customer’s needs. Each customer has different load profiles which means we have to scale to many different needs.
Projects range from creating proofs of concept for new features and then turning that code into production ready code to infrastructure related changes to help our system scale as we add more customers. We also integrate with a lot of different external ATS, SMS, and Calendar APIs to complete the picture.
