Engineering at Myst AI
We have a flat hierarchy, where all of the engineers currently report to the CEO. The team is mostly generalist leaning to the backend and work on a variety of interesting and complex projects. We have an incredibly high bar for code health - unit testing everything, so engineers don't need to spend time on bug fixing. Our codebase is thoroughly unit tested, and our CI/CD pipelines are fully automated.
As a startup, we're always tackling new challenges. Time-series forecasting using AI and machine learning is one of the harder problems to solve because time-series data is non-stationary, so you can't depend on historical data sets to build models that predict the future.
Design and build v1 of Myst's new platform product, from the ground up.
Scale the performance of our existing and new infrastructure and software tools, through better observability, self-healing systems, and software redesign.
Continue to support and maintain Myst's forecasting-as-a-service (FaaS) product.
