We use machine learning to produce electricity forecasts for companies accelerating the renewable energy transition. We're building towards a platform for in-house data scientists to generate their own time-series forecasts, as well.

Technical Challenges: Time series forecasting through artificial intelligence and machine learning is one of the harder problems to solve because the data is non-stationary. We are solving this complex problem by building a global AI platform that automates the ML workflow and enables companies to create more highly accurate forecasts at massive scale.
Team: Our talented team draws on diverse experiences and best practices from top companies like Google, Nest, and StitchFix as well as high-growth start-ups. Moreover, they are kind and curious humans!
Growth: Forecasting provides a giant market opportunity >$100B. We are backed by top VCs (including Google's AI fund), revenue-generating with a few years of runway, and looking to 2x the team this year! We also grew our customer base by 200% last year.
Engineering at Myst AI
We have a flat hierarchy, where all of the engineers currently report to the CEO. The team is mostly generalist leaning to the backend and work on a variety of interesting and complex projects. We have an incredibly high bar for code health - unit testing everything, so engineers don't need to spend time on bug fixing. Our codebase is thoroughly unit tested, and our CI/CD pipelines are fully automated.
As a startup, we're always tackling new challenges. Time-series forecasting using AI and machine learning is one of the harder problems to solve because time-series data is non-stationary, so you can't depend on historical data sets to build models that predict the future.
Design and build v1 of Myst's new AI platform product, for first release to early customers.
Scale the performance of our existing and new infrastructure and software tools, through better observability, self-healing systems, and software redesign.
Continue to support and maintain Myst's forecasting-as-a-service (FaaS) product.
