Nabis (YC W19) is a rapidly growing Series A stage startup in the budding legal cannabis industry. Our mission is to help scale the cannabis supply chain with software and ultimately become the largest distributor of cannabis products in the world. In less than 2 years, Nabis has become a leading distributor in California, shipping 52 brands to over 90% of all dispensaries in the state.

Growth opportunity. Engineers at Nabis are all also product managers, are all full-stack, and all talk directly with our customers. We hope that engineers, after their time at Nabis, can move on to be senior engineers, senior product managers, or founders of their own startups.
Dynamic work environment. The cannabis industry is nuts right now. Lots of money from investors, lots of hype from celebrities, and lots of movement from everyone in the industry. Nabis feels like a different company every month.
Business is doing well. We're raising a Series A from Y Combinator and others, have grown to $2M in annual revenue, and have only been around for a year and a half now.
We work on two-week cycles. The only meeting we have is the new cycle kickoff meeting, where we review the previous cycle and nominate new tasks for the next cycle. For each nominated new task, we estimate the benefit and cost, decide whether we'll do it in the next cycle, and assign it to an engineer if we decide to do it next cycle. It's a quick and democratic meeting.
The most challenging part of the job is the combination of both product management and engineering. Engineers at Nabis all will prioritize requests, design new features, and implement them end-to-end, from wireframes to coding to deployment and testing.
