Narmi (Techstars NYC '17 and Grand Central Tech) is changing how banking is done in the United States. We partner with existing banks and credit unions to transform their digital banking. Our founders used to run a credit union and saw first hand how backwards banking is today. Our online banking, mobile banking and open banking API helps Americans better understand their financial story and interact with their finances. Our product is already used to manage billions of dollars and move millions everyday.

Grew annual recurring revenue by over 500% in the last 12 months.
Our customers love us: we've never lost one and they keep paying us more money.
Our team uses a modified agile approach. We have a weekly engineering and product meeting where we discuss, prioritize and assign projects, features and bugs. While every engineer is expected to be ready, willing and able to contribute up and down the stack, we naturally gravitate towards work that interests us the most. We use GitHub as our main project management tool. Every potential change starts with a GitHub issue, and culminates in a pull request. Every pull request is peer reviewed and must pass a variety of automated testing suites before being merged. Once merged, it is automatically deployed to staging. Additional manual QA is conducted before manually triggering a production deployment (typically at least once a week except for our mobile apps which tend to be deployed once a month).
We have to integrate with systems that were built during the pre-internet period. So while our users expect 24/7/365 uptime, some of the upstream systems we rely upon were not designed to be able to handle that.
We deal with very sensitive data and invest heavily in increasing security automation.
We have to interface with multiple money movement gateways (ACH, Fedwire, card networks, etc).
A greenfield project to make becoming a customer at a bank a 3-5 minute process versus the typical multi-day process at most institutions.
You would work on helping us develop our automatic savings feature. We've partnered with the Common Cents Lab, a non-profit with the aim of increasing the financial well-being for low-to moderate-income, to architect an automatic transfer from checking to savings with every deposit.
We are a small, hard-working team that has a bias towards shipping.
