Your Opportunity
The Commerce team enables our customers to purchase the New Relic platform with ease and delight! We are looking for a great Senior UI Engineer in React, to come join us in transforming our buying platform user experience. Help us scale our self-serve B2B software, driving revenue and direct business growth.
Opportunity to work remotely may be available depending on applicant location.
What You’ll Do Implement rich, interactive data visualizations using modern JavaScript and software development techniques in conjunction with the other engineers on the team. Select the best frameworks and tools needed to let you get the job done quickly, while also optimizing for codebase stability, product stability, and target use case growth. Integrate yourself with designers and other UI engineers across New Relic to learn from others and to ensure you stay up to date on the company’s UI standard methodologies. Build new features and design their systems architecture! Mentor other engineers on the team, and feel passionate about improving software by constant iteration with your team. Actively drive continuous engineering excellence. Your Qualifications Must have:
You have at least 4 years of industry experience working in a team environment, building production single-page applications with React. Strong experience with modern tools like React Hooks, Apollo GraphQL, and Storybook; Understanding of GraphQL APIs. Can fit together a SASS, React, and webpack project. Understand both how to write tests and the value of automated testing; experience with front-end JS testing tools and a comprehensive understanding of UI testing techniques Experience working across the org with designers; good sense of design and usability Nice-to-have: An understanding of the full stack that a complex modern application requires. Very interested in learning new languages, platforms, and ideas. Passionate about delivering production code at a regular cadence using agile techniques, tools, and methodologies. A thoughtful, data-driven approach to engineering and weighing tradeoffs in your implementations.
