Niantic is the world’s leading AR technology company, sparking creative and engaging journeys in the real world. Our products inspire outdoor exploration, exercise, and meaningful social interaction.

Originally formed at Google in 2011, we became an independent company in 2015 with a strong group of investors including Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Alsop Louie Partners. Our current titles include pioneering global-control game Ingress, record-breaking AR game Pokémon GO, and recently released third title, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

Niantic is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer. We believe that cultivating a workplace where our people are supported and included is essential to creating great products our community will love. Our mission emphasizes seeking and hiring diverse voices, including those who are traditionally underrepresented in the technology industry, and we consider this to be one of the most important values we hold close.

We're a hard-working, fun, and exciting group who value intellectual curiosity and a passion for problem-solving! We have growing offices located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Bellevue, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hamburg, London, and Zurich.

Why join us?

  • Niantic’s mission is to use emerging augmented reality (AR) technology to enrich our experiences as human beings in the physical world. We’ve launched Ingress, an immersive real-world mobile game played by millions of people in over 200 countries and territories worldwide. We've also developed Pokémon GO, which has broken records around the world and has been downloaded more than 750 million times in its first year. We've also recently released our newest title, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.

  • Niantic spun out of Google in 2011 as an independent company with a strong group of investors including Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, and Alsop Louie Partners. Our founders had previously started Keyhole, which became Google Earth and the foundation for Google Maps.

  • We’re focused on building games that get people outside and exploring, enabling our players to have fun while visiting new places, learning about the world around them, and meeting new friends. In the United States, we have offices located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, and Los Angeles and offer competitive salaries, stock options, medical / dental / vision coverage, and other benefits including daily catered lunch and outdoor adventures!
