Our team is made up of leaders from YC-backed startups, Snapchat, Facebook, HBO, Legendary, Fullscreen and more. We deal with really interesting technical problems due to the live/drop nature of our product, at an interesting intersection of media, technology, and commerce.

Engineering at NTWRK
The goal of our process is to increase engineering velocity: how seamless can an engineer deliver their code to production? What roadblocks can we remove and processes can we automate?
Our engineering team operates on two-week sprints. At the beginning of each sprint, engineers choose new tasks to prioritize.
Engineers are responsible to own features from start to finish. This means that everyone gets to own what they're working on.
We conduct code reviews through Github Pull Requests.
Everything is hooked up through CI/CD so we're constantly deploying code to production. We move fast and have lots of tooling to make sure everyone is productive and doing challenging work.
The items NTWRK sells always drop at specific times/days. This means hundreds of thousands of people click 'buy' and stream video at the exact same moment. We combat bots attacks and intensely scaled infrastructure. Tens of thousands of chat messages per second are sent across our sockets.
For high-value drops, we wanted a way to let lots of people get the opportunity to purchase. We implemented a drawing system: enter over a time period, our admin randomly selects and notifies a few winners (based on inventory level). The engineers who worked on this project took the designs, and delivered a working system. It's iterative: we start with minimum viable features and increase sprint over sprint to make the features more robust based on customer feedback.
Our users wanted a better way to track their orders. An engineer took this problem, worked with designers to create a better tracking system, and built an email notification and in-app order tracking function. End-to-end.
