Role Description

nubeGo is a Cloud and DevOps Consultancy based in the Thames Valley, UK. We are passionate about delivering exceptional technology projects across Europe and Latin America.

To help us build and deliver a new web application to our managed service clients, we have an immediate need for a Full Stack Web Developer who has a passion and interest in building applications in the AWS Cloud.

This role currently operates under the guidance of our COO and offers the opportunity to work remotely.

What is the Full Stack Developer responsible for?

We’re looking for a cloud developer who is willing and able to get involved in all stages of software development for a new component of one of our own service offerings.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering a web-based applications in the cloud using the very latest in cloud technologies in AWS. You’ll be working alongside our CEO and COO to building the front-end, middleware, data storage and cloud infrastructure for a new web application to be used by our Clients.

We envisage the initial project to take a number of days to complete; however we are keen to build a lasting relationship with a passionate developer who is happy to expand and maintain the web application in the future, and who may consider a wider role within nubeGo in the future.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Full Stack Developer?

Contribute to the design, implementation and validation of nubeGo’s own products and services, and utilise them to help our clients commission new applications and capabilities into the cloud.

Understand the requirements, agree on the technical approach and take responsibility for translating these into prototypes and production ready code.

Take an active role in all phases of the development lifecycle including the support for applications that we build and host.

Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Implement security and data protection and data storage solutions.

Get involved in defining and implementing a continuous delivery pipeline

Contribute to a roadmap (design and implementation) for nubeGo’s own Cloud Framework Platform which optimises the use of technology.

What skills and experience does the Full Stack Developer require?

Confident and ambitious user of web technologies for both front-end and back-end development; primarily Javascript with React and/or Vue and strong CSS skills

Practical experience building, high-quality web-based software using AWS technologies including Cognito, S3, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway or AppSync.

Understanding and willingness to embrace CI/CD and automation tooling such as Jenkins/AWS CodeDeploy, CloudFormation and Git-based repositories

Quality mindset with a desire to achieve rapid results to a high quality level

Passionate, innovative and driven to help our clients embrace Cloud technologies

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Demonstrable experience of web application development with referenceable examples of web apps previously built

We are happy to consider applications from applicants with a wide range of employment experience

AWS Certification would give you a headstart and is a good indicator for us of your skill levels
