Engineering at NuCypher
One of our current challenges is making fully homomorphic encryption (a type of post-quantum cryptography that allows for structure-preserving
computation on encrypted data) more efficient and easier to use. This is exactly what you'd be working on!
Working at NuCypher
We're a remote-first company of 14 with our HQ based in San Francisco. We organize quarterly homecomings
in which we try to gather in the same place and for a week or two. These homecomings are totally optional and they're often centered around a conference! Past homecomings include Osaka, New York City, Berlin, Prague, and Denver/Breckenridge! We also encourage all employees to attend conferences that interest them.

We encourage our employees to attend any workshops/conferences that are of interest to them and relevant to their work. Some conferences we've attended in the past year include Eurocrypt (held in Germany), Crypto (held in Santa Barbara), Devcon (held in Osaka), Zero Knowledge Summit (held in Berlin), and Real World Crypto (held in NYC).

We're a remote-first company with our HQ located in SF. 3 employees (CEO, Head of Product, and the cryptographer you'd be working with) are based in SF. We tend to come into the office 2-3x/week.
