Role Description

We are a small, fast growing team of highly-technical people, backed by some of the top VCs in Silicon Valley. We’re looking for a creative, product-focused engineer with attention to detail and passion for creating the future of work to join our team.

You will: - Own entire components of the technical product from start to customer success: creating a technical plan, reviewing and improving with peers, implementing solution and revising with product and customer input. - Build highly efficient systems that leverage modern architecture solutions. - Work with React and modern JavaScript frameworks to maintain and create an effective UI. - Design, build, and maintain APIs and services in Python and NodeJS. - Utilize the latest in micro-services approach and storage frameworks including Redis, MongoDB, and Aurora. - Become the knowledge expert on large sections of infrastructure and knowledge share with the rest of the team.

You may be a fit for this role if you: - Have 3-5+ years of experience working in a team-based production environment - Thrive while mentoring and helping your teammates grow and succeed in their careers - Value getting things done and doing what you say - Exhibit attention to detail in all aspects of your work - Are empathetic and dedicated to creating an amazing product for all users - Love solving challenging technical problems - Effectively and efficiently communicate blockers, questions, and feedback

About Parabola

Parabola brings the power of programming to everyone.

At Parabola, we believe that everyone has the ability to be amazingly analytical, curious, and creative all at once. Unfortunately, most people have not been given the tools and encouragement to express their ingenuity. Technology hasn’t kept up with our aims.

We don’t think you should have to come from a distinctly technical background or know how to write code to be a builder. We are closing this productivity inequality gap by building a drag-and-drop productivity tool that lets everyone translate what they want to do into instructions for a computer to do it for them. No matter who you are, with simple, logical building blocks, you can customize and orchestrate the world around you. Learn more at parabola.io.

Company Culture

Parabola has a very collaborative, fast-paced, and thoughtful culture. We believe that we should all be working towards a common goal and that the different viewpoints and ideas on how to get there are what will make us successful. The team has fun together, whether it's through offsites, lunch, events, or just brainstorming a particularly tough problem.
