Engineering at Parker Group, Inc.
Our engineering team operates on two week cycles. Each cycle begins with a meeting to discuss time estimates for features, and ends with a demo meeting where each engineer can show off the work they've completed. Engineers typically work with a designer and any other interested parties to spec a feature, then work on the feature individually. We use Pull Requests on GitHub to conduct code reviews. All engineers are also empowered to push code to production, which we often do multiple times a day.
We're building dynamically adjusting the limits based on the seasonality of e-commerce merchants requiring connections to many outside APIs and running analysis in near realtime on their performance to avoid losses (lower limit) or help the companies grow (higher limit).
Making sure when working with APIs we are efficiently updating and merging all information and avoiding rate limiting.
We're building a dynamic credit limit system that will need to underwrite e-commerce merchants in close to realtime.
To create the dynamic limit system we need - Accurate and up to date data from Integrations ranging from Revenue Channels (Shopify, Amazon, Woocommerce etc.), Expense Channels (Facebook Ads, Google Ads), Bank & Card Account to compute, which requires working efficiently with APIs & doing proper data processing
Building accurate P&L metrics for users to automate their accounting & taxes while showing their businesses performance in real-time.
Building puppeter/beautifulsoup like bots or chrome extensions to plug into bad apis and make the users unaware of what is happening in the background to get their api keys so they don't have to follow annoying instructions to get api keys.
Building underwriting dashboard w retool to underwrite and monitor credit performance/risk.
