Staff Server Engineer

This is for a senior IC engineering role. We are growing quickly and now need some senior engineers. We are looking for people who have the Senior, Staff, or higher title at FAANG or a big ideally fintech startup such as Stripe, Brex, Robinhood, Webull, etc.

Passfolio is bringing commission free US stock and crypto investing to the world starting in Brazil and Nigeria. We are recruiting people that want to democratize and expand economic opportunity beyond the 1% to billions of people in emerging markets.

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Server Engineer to join our team and work on accounting, financial infrastructure, and treasury management. This is a key function - you will have significant responsibility. We are looking for someone excited about taking on a big important challenge!

Responsibilities: Play a key role in scaling (we're live!) the system that manages trading and money movement (track all the forex and money movement between our bank account, the clearing broker, and the crypto exchange).

About You: Amazing very detail oriented software engineer with a good understanding of concurrency and ability to write error-resistant, robust, and scalable code (handle all the edge cases/exceptions). Ideally you have significant concurrency, database, and scalable cloud computing (we use Google) development experience. We love creative engineering solutions and clean, well-organized, and tested code.

Plus for Firebase experience, engineering team management, familiarity with Brazil, Portuguese speaking or reading/writing, and crypto/stock trading experience.

Tech Stack: Node.js and Firebase.

Working at Passfolio: We are a ~20 person (12 engineers) team that moves very quickly. There is no bureaucracy - good ideas get vetted and implemented quickly. We are data driven but not dictated - sometimes data is biased or wrong. We iterate fast to find the best solution.

Salary commensurate with location and experience.
