About PayJoy: PayJoy's mission is to deliver access to credit to the next billion people in emerging markets worldwide. Our unique mobile security technology creates collateral that enables customers to afford their first financed smartphone. Thanks to this, our customers can further access credit to help weather life's unexpected financial surprises and climb the ladder of economic well-being.
Founded in 2015, today PayJoy has reached hundreds of thousands of customers in a dozen countries around the globe, from Mexico to Indonesia, India, Kenya, and Nigeria, and is on a strong growth path with support from major industry partners to bring credit to millions in 2019.
We are working together to enable people around the world to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Our team has experience from Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Wharton, Google, Amazon, Uber, Facebook, McKinsey, Bain, Kiva, Nike, and Citibank, and we are funded by top FinTech investors.
We have expanded into more than a dozen countries around the world (and counting!) and are reaching hundreds of thousands of consumers already, with strong growth projected for 2019.
We have four engineering teams, spread between our three main offices (San Francisco, Mexico City, and Bangalore). Each team works with the product team to establish quarterly and yearly goals. Release cycles happen as features are completed and tested. Code reviews for code added to the code base are sent to other engineers with area-specific knowledge.
In order to help the under-banked, we work together to improve and scale our alternative credit scoring platform, our proprietary Android mobile device management system, and our RESTful API. Data security, scale, and latency are key technical drivers for best-in-class performance to our partners, who often have over 100M users.
You will work on developing cutting edge technology for locking Android devices across multiple OEMs while anticipating potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
You will have the opportunity to develop entirely new products to enable financial inclusion in emerging markets. You will be involved from concept to execution, collaborating with colleagues and sharing ownership of the final product.
We value people who take chances and try new things. Sometimes we'll fail, and that's ok, as long as we're working together to move closer to our company mission.
