You will be an integral part of a tight-knit engineering team working to design and implement new features, improve our architecture and take the lead to launch new products.

Technical Challenges

As a Point engineer, you should expect to:

  • Design and engineer the marketplace tech to make shared equity financing a great option for homeowners and investors

  • Collaborate with the design team and product managers to create an engaging and transparent customer experience

  • Build analytics tools to capture and use data to drive risk and pricing algorithms and inform marketing spend

  • Automate data collection from multiple vendors and data sources and organize and index that data

  • Streamline the underwriting process to improve efficiency and accuracy while delivering cash to homeowners faster

    Many team members work from home once a week. We care about productivity and accountability, not face time.

  • Health Insurance

    Point provides platinum-rated plans for medical (Anthem Blue Cross or Kaiser Permanente), dental (Delta), and vision (Guardian). We cover 99% of employee premiums and 75% of dependent premiums.

    In addition, all employees will be added to our long-term disability and life insurance policy immediately upon hire with The Standard. The policy will pay 60% of the first $8,333 of monthly salary after 90 days of disability and/or $100,000 in the event of your death, subject to policy exclusions. (Note that short-term disability coverage is available to employees through the California SDI program.)

  • Transportation

    Point participates in the Caltrain GoPass program which provides an unlimited train pass for work and personal travel. Alternatively, team members commuting by car will receive a free parking permit.

  • Maternal/Paternal Leave

    Point will top off California PFL earnings to full salary for up to six weeks, as well as two weeks of fully paid leave to be available after exhaustion of CA PFL. An employee can take reasonable vacation time in addition to the California PFL leave.

  • Relocation

    We offer a $7,000 relocation stipend if you are moving from outside the Bay Area.

  • Beautiful Office

    We have an open floor plan for easy collaboration and plenty of free drinks and snacks to keep you nourished throughout the day. Additionally, Point provides catered lunch every Monday and Wednesday.

    Our employee's health and safety are top of mind for us! Additionally, we provide our employees with a home internet allowance and home office expense reimbursement to help ease the transition to remote working.
