Poise is an early-stage startup on a mission to improve spoken communication. We are building an AI-powered communication coach that can provide real-time and post-meeting feedback. Engineering at Poise Inc
We are building out our engineering team and constantly update the process based on the needs of the product and team members. So, as an early hire you would be able to help define a lot of the process.
Currently, we scope out work in quarterly, monthly and weekly chunks. Our sprints are weekly which start with the Monday meeting to discuss what the product needs based on our monthly target and any additional feedback that we get from the users.
Data is at the core of our product which is used to allow both manual extraction of insights by the user and automated suggestions from our ML/AI models. This mean that we pay close attention on how to surface small chunks of data like pitch and usage of certain words to users along with using the high volume to identify patterns and ways to improve.
We are also working on audio/signal processing at low level to generate some of our raw data that would be used in building higher level features.
Real Time Feedback: You would work on building a non intrusive real time feature that would be active during a user's meeting to help when needed without getting in the way.
You'll work on building a data pipeline that would have to scale for both the different type of metrics horizontally and also the volume of those metrics.
