Engineering team and processes

We follow a loose Agile process, where customer product requests are aggregated, analyzed, and prioritized by the product and engineering team. From there, engineers decided projects they are interested in and work with our design firm on developing a solution.

We are not perscriptive with feature development. Engineers are given problems and the tools to work on a solutions for those problems. They have ownership over the products they develop and ship them to production after review.

Technical Challenges

We send more than half a million SMS messages per day and ingest hundreds of thousands events per minute in order to determine the right timing and content of a message. We utilize Redis and AWS Kinesis to buffer event streams and analyze clickstream data.

In a year, we will send more than 3 million messages per day and expect to have challenges related to message performance analysis and data visualization for our customers.

Projects you might work on
  • You would develop a trigger engine that allows brands to determine which messages get sent to which customers.

    Is a customer asking about shipment tracking information? Reply with their tracking link, etc

  • You would work with our data science team to develop an intelligent A/B testing framework that allows brands to dynamically send communication based on how their customers prefer.

  • You would develop a payments platform within Postscript, to allow customers to order new products by replying Buy and having an order shipped to their door. You would leverage our deep integration with Shopify to do so.
