Role Description

Role 👩‍💻

We are hiring a Senior/Staff Full-Stack Engineer that loves either the back end architecture or has a flair for the front end to join our engineering team in NYC. We are a small team on a mission to build technology that will save lives. We’re a fast growing startup backed by First Round Capital and Google’s Gradient Ventures. We are remote friendly but would prefer the engineering & product to be hybrid in-person.

What you'll do:

  • Contribute new features to our emergency ecosystem in a reliable and sustainable manner
  • Work closely with product management, designers, and other engineers
  • Own entire features and projects for release, from front-end to backend
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability in regards to UX
  • Build and maintain our internal reusable components following best practices
  • Resolve production issues together with the engineering team

Who you are 💪

  • Entrepreneurial Full-Stack developer with passion for either the back end or the front end
  • Egoless — Here to improve and learn how to work in a small, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proactive, passionate and have the needed perseverance for creating great software in imperfect world
  • 3+ years of experience building complicated backend applications OR 3+ Years building out the front end in React
  • Skilled in software testing with an knack to spot edge-cases
  • Ability to work both independently and with teammates
  • Proficient in [TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS] Or Ruby on Rails
  • Able to dive into the source code of back-end libraries to debug, patch, and extend them when necessary.
