Engineering at Project N
We hate sprints. We believe they stifle innovation and cause burn out. So we deliberately chose to work in cycles. The typical duration for a cycle is 1 month. Each cycle begins with a discussion on current priorities, research, and execution plans. Teams are formed per cycle depending on needs and interests. The teams can range from 1-3 engineers. Cycles ensure that enough time is baked in for research. They also ensure that the focus on speed, doesn't sacrifice quality.
We use GitLab for version control, CI/CD, and release management. We empower engineers to push code to production frequently, often multiple times a day. The result of this: speed, innovation, quality, ownership, engineer fulfillment, and most importantly customer delight.
We host weekly engineering workshops as an opportunity to learn and grow your skillsets. We call these workshops - 10x Engineering.
We celebrate vacations and encourage unplugging from work during that time. How vacations should be.
The data efficiency engine we're building needs to scale to hundreds of PBs at the finest granularity, while maintaining consistently high performance and immaculate data integrity.
You would get to work on building radically new data efficiency algorithms, many of which will be patented.
You would get to work on auto-scaling and high-performance systems that run across massive swaths of data, where every ms of latency matters.
