Why join us?
We are a stable and innovative company. Although we are small in size, we are nimble and our employees are given ownership to complete big tasks that will have immediate impact on our companies trajectory.
Our 20+ year legacy is rooted in programmatic technology making us one of the most established advertising exchanges in the market. Health is a complicated market with sophisticated targeting demands. We've built on our programmatic foundation to create the most intelligent health view of a customer available- such precision has never been seen before.
We have a great leadership team that is communicative, transparent and removes bureaucracy so you can build and innovate.
Engineering at PulsePoint
Our engineering team operates on two week cycles. Each cycle beings with a meeting to discuss time estimates for features and ends with a demo/ feedback meeting where engineers discuss the work they completed. We use pull requests on GitHub to conduct code reviews. All code is expected to come with unit tests, functional tests and integration tests where by we actually spin up the entire stack in a method to assert against. All engineers are empowered to push code to production, which we often do several times daily. We evolve constantly, so impact is seen in days and weeks, not years. We’re small enough where you can own something and have a direct impact, but big enough that you don’t have to do it alone.
We practice TDD/ unit-testing, continuous integration, code-reviews, and scrum.
Currently, the PulsePoint Exchange handles millions of transactions per second, continuously evaluating, selecting, and optimizing based on advanced statistics and machine-learning algorithms, returning responses in milliseconds. We are working on: Cloud - computing, event-driven IO, self - healing systems, analytic databases
Some major projects the Exchange team is currently working on: continuing to scale our core exchange platform, honing the intelligence of our optimization, cutting feedback time for business intelligence, and aggressive automation.
Working at PulsePoint
We are a team of passionate, smart, go-getters. We aren't afraid of getting messy, whether that means trying something new and failing, helping a teammate through a river of mud at Tough Mudder, or having chocolate all over your hands from s'mores at our company retreat. We value innovation, value creation and people that push themselves and their colleagues forward to get better. We are silly, loud and full of laughter, but we get shit done, and have a great time working together to make the world better.
We start with 20 days PTO - also your birthday is a holiday
Free snacks and drinks in the offices. Every other Friday there are catered lunches provided for the offices.
Gym reimbursement and health/wellness benefits such as free Fitbit, walking challenges, wellness programs and in-office health fairs
Our HQ is is right in the heart of Manhattan by Grand Central Station. We have two open concept floors with various types of workstations like: walking desks, standing desks, bosuball chairs etc. We have a huge outdoor terrace that has hammocks, umbrellas, furniture and cornhole.
We go on an annual company retreat. We get everyone together from our other offices, or remote locations and go on a company sponsored vacation! The last two were a 5 day cruise to Bermuda, and a Winter Wonderland retreat where we went skiing snowboarding and snowtubing.
