Software Engineering Manager

We are developing batteries that will power the next generation of transportation. We agree that software is eating the world; as such, we are leaning on software to give us a competitive edge. You will work with developers as well as chemists, materials scientists, process engineers, and physicists in an exciting, multidisciplinary environment. You are an experienced manager who will join and lead our software engineering team. Your background may include databases, cloud deployment, IoT, data engineering, manufacturing environments, and/or ML.
Our software team builds internal tools for scientists to enable them to move radically faster with software tools and ready access to data; your responsibility will be to guide the team as they maintain and expand our data storage and processing capabilities. We deploy code for web and desktop apps and services with on premise infrastructure as well as in the cloud. We aim to build robust systems to maintain a high uptime and few errors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BS in a technical field (Software Engineering or Computer Science is preferred) plus at least 3 years' experience in software engineering management Several years' experience as an individual contributor in programming
HIGHLY DESIRED: Experience in multifaceted architecture decisions, relational and no-SQL databases, cloud and hybrid cloud architectures Experience in manufacturing or pilot environments with Manufacturing Execution Systems, ERP, and/or inventory management is a plus We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
