As the Head of UX on the User Experience and Product Design team, you will directly impact their vision and mission of helping students succeed by bringing more institutions and students onto the student platform through creative leadership contributions to the user experience, engineering and product design team.

In terms of the role responsibilities, you will:
Contribute to vision setting and strategic direction alongside the senior product team. Drive your area forward towards successfully moving towards that common goal set. Audit and continually improve existing experiences and journeys across our B2B2C platform. Provide and use feedback from other team members and designers to continually improve results Partner with other leads across Product, Engineering, Research and Data to guide projects from discovery to delivery. Help to define and ensure that experience design principles are common across all product teams.
5 years or more of experience as a user experience designer, product designer or similar UX-related roles in addition to a minimum of 1 year as manager of small to medium size design teams; experience managing and growing teams is an asset for the role Extensive experience with User Interface (UI) Design Have a user-centric approach to problem-solving, talking to customers, user testing and responding to feedback Experienced with design tools like Sketch or Figma and wireframing tools like Balsamiq Have a good understanding and knowledge of HTML5 and CSS Have experience with user interface design libraries and design systems; attention to detail, and an expert eye for visual consistency and hierarchy Experience with the end-to-end design process on software applications for enterprise, commercial desktop, web-based, cloud-based products or software applications

Have an outstanding portfolio of interactive UX designs and detailed wireframes Passionate about building the overall product experience and have balanced multiple user experience projects Strong understanding of Design and Agile methodologies Proven track record of designing and implementing user experience strategies, plans, and market research Experience operating in a high growth environment Have experience working with (B2B/ B2B2C) SaaS Product Design is a bonus Previous design team management in a similar role is a bonus Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
This is a remote role based anywhere in North America.
