Engineering at Resilience

Engineering team and processes

Resilience's Engineering team operates on a two week sprint cycle. Prior to each cycle the Product team ensures the backlog has been prioritized to enable Engineering leads to build time estimates and construct feature teams. Each two week sprint is focused on 8 days worth of development effort, with a 2 day focused QA/bug fix cycle at the end of the Sprint. Code is managed in GitHub, including pull requests and code reviews. Upon successful review and build, code is merged into the active development branch and deployed to the appropriate k8s cluster automatically.

Technical Challenges

Resilience's metadata collection system needs to securely collect indicators that allow our insurance customers to accurately assess the risk of their potential insurance customers while still maintaining the privacy of the end insureds.
