Revolut provides two main products geared towards personal or business customers. Users can hold, exchange and withdraw in 150 different currencies (including 5 cryptocurrencies) at zero-fee and the best inter-bank exchange rates possible. Our debit card offers all the features offered by a premium card: zero-fee FX conversions, cash-backs, travel insurance and airport lounge access at a much affordable price point. Our key demographics are international travelers and businesses with suppliers internationally. We are the fastest growing unicorn startup in Europe, with 5M customers acquired organically over 4 years. We are headquartered in London with offices in Krakow, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Vilinius, New York and San Francisco. We plan to launch our product in the US within the next few months and are building out our SF team aggressively.
The SF office will have a team of 10 engineers on the Financial Crime team including machine learning, data and backend engineers. The team's goal would be to build an external fraud feature store that will have API integrations with 15-20 external data providers. The challenge would be to provide real-time access to all this data such that we can prevent payment fraud in real-time.

Compensation: You will get salary + an initial stock options grant. Every 6 months, if you achieve you KPIs, you'd also get new performance based stock options.
Engineering at Revolut
The SF based engineering team will be full-stacked — consisting of backend, data and machine learning engineers. We use agile. We set 6-month roadmaps and KPIs for the team.
You will build a fraud feature store. This feature store will be an internal product that is used by our machine learning teams. The goal is to build a real-time service that gathers external data and scores a user within 100s of milliseconds, so we can stop fraud in its tracks. The main KPIs you would be evaluated on are: (i) fraud loss saved and (ii) reduction in fraud false positives due to your product.
Our data stack is Python in the backend with Exasol as our data warehouse. We are hosted on Google Cloud Platform and our data scientists and engineers rely heavily on DataFlow, Big Query, Apache Beam, Apache Flink & Airflow for their machine learning pipelines.

We have engineering offices in London, Krakow, St. Petersburg and Moscow. You will be on-boarded at our London office, with some occasional travel to London (once per 3-4 months).
