Close to a 3rd of our entire team at Ripple is technical/engineering 100+, meaning we are very engineering centric here. Our team is headed by our CTO David Schwartz, and lead by SVP of Engineering DevRaj . We are an agile shop and working on tons of new development across RippleNet, Line of Credit and RippleX.

Technical Challenges

-Build enterprise, distributed payment applications that execute settlement within seconds to enable the Internet of Value -Contribute to the development of the Interledger Protocol, a W3C protocol for sending cross-ledger payments -Integrate with the XRP Ledger, a distributed ledger built on the principles of Blockchain and its native currency XRP, the fastest and most scalable digital asset -Prototype new solutions for complex software problems and implement them for production bank deployments -Be a technical subject matter expert and share your expertise with a growing team of engineers -Work with teams across the organization, including product, legal, and business development to think beyond the technical implications of your design decisions

Projects you might work on

  • RippleNet is Ripple’s enterprise software solution that enables banks to instantly settle cross-border payments with end-to-end tracking. Using xCurrent, banks message each other in real-time to confirm payment details prior to initiating the transaction and to confirm delivery once it settles. It includes a Rulebook developed in partnership with the RippleNet Committee that ensures operational consistency and legal clarity for every transaction. (Java Application)

  • RippleNet (Liquidity) is for payment providers and other financial institutions who want to minimize liquidity costs while improving their customer experience. Because payments into emerging markets often require pre-funded local currency accounts around the world, liquidity costs are high. RippleNet Liquidity dramatically lowers the capital requirements for liquidity by leveraging XRP as a bridge currency. (Java Application)

  • RippleNet Corporates is for, payment providers and banks who want to send payments across various networks using a standard interface. xVia's simple API requires no software installation and enables users to seamlessly send payments globally with transparency into the payment status and with rich information, like invoices, attached. (Java Application)

  • Client Portal (UI) - React.js/Redux, Javascript - this is our newest team at Ripple and in charge of building out our new Client Portal for enterprise customers of Ripple worldwide.
