Engineering at RizeHQ

Engineering team and processes

Our approach is to foster an agile development culture based Scrum, but without some of the cumbersome overhead. Our engineering team operates on two-week sprints. Each sprint begins with a meeting to discuss the goals of the development cycle, and it ends with a review of the sprint progress. Our product requirements methodology favors brevity and visual specs wherever possible. We utilize UI workflows and wireframes for interface specs, and sequence diagrams for backend specs.

Technical Challenges

On the frontend, we're focused on abstracting the complexity of fostering meaningful professional relationships into a simple UI. The design challenge is extraordinary.

On the backend, in the near-term, we are focused on building out clean, highly-tuned data models and APIs. In the intermediate-to-long term, we're excited to apply our energies to machine learning and complex matching algorithms.
