Engineering at RocketReach

Engineering team and processes

Our engineering team operates on two week sprint cycles. Every engineer is pushing code to production and hands in the each part of the process. We start the sprint with prioritization and planning, and end the spring with a sprint demo that the whole company participates in. The team is incredibly collaborative, low-ego, and autonomous.

Technical Challenges

Scalability - trying to build systems that can scale with our ever-growing business. Surge - we are constantly working on our search algorithms to produce better results and its takes a bunch of different techniques and knowledge to be able to do that. Gigantic data store - we are improving and perfecting the way we store and update huge amounts of data. Large captive audience that we are trying to keep engage - we have over 7.6 million registered users - roughly 15 million searches per week. Quality will ultimately win the space - so we are always increasing the quality of our product and quality of our data.
